Welcome to Lady Bankes Infant and Nursery School's website and on behalf of all the children, staff and Governors I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your families.
We are a three-form entry school located in a quiet road in the heart of Ruislip Manor, a short walk from the underground and bus routes. We were graded as 'outstanding' following our Ofsted inspection in July 2015.
As a friendly community centred school we aim to work closely with our families in order to provide the best that we can for our children, and we operate an 'open door' policy so that parents and carers have daily contact with our classroom staff. If there are any other queries or there is anything to discuss with the leadership team you are very welcome to contact myself, Mrs. Dyer - Headteacher, via the office email firstname.lastname@example.org or our school telephone number 01895 634180.
The school benefits from close links with Lady Bankes Junior School with whom we share our wonderful Grade II listed building. Our federated governing body acts as a strategically challenging friend and closely monitors the quality of the provision in our school. They have worked with us to set our shared vision and values so that we can ensure a highly effective progressive journey from nursery through to Year 6. Please click on this link to view our Junior School website http://www.ladybankes-jun.hillingdon.sch.uk/ and take a look in the governing body section of this website to find out more about their role.
In addition, we also work closely with the private EYE nursery which operates from our site and supports us by providing pre-school and wrap around care. Please click on this link to view their website www.eyenursery.co.uk
Our parent community association - Friends of Lady Bankes Schools (FOLBA) - works with enthusiasm and generosity, raising funds throughout the year to help support projects at Lady Bankes. As well as raising these much needed funds, the activities that they organise are aimed at providing fun experiences for our children and they really enhance the welcoming community feel of our school.
Within this site you will find all the information you will need to inform you about our school including our school values, underpinned by British values, which can be found by clicking the ‘About' link. We are very proud of the way that our children demonstrate our values through their behaviours and attitudes to learning, and we are pleased with the overwhelmingly positive feedback that we get from visitors and outside providers, (see testimonials at the bottom of this webpage.)
Finally, our staff team are passionate about helping our children to become good citizens with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that they need to become successful and happy members of society. If you would like to find out more about our school family please explore our website and you are very welcome to visit.
He loves going to school every day and looks forward to it every morning.
He has made significant progress this year and we are exceptionally proud of him. He is much more conscientious and has developed a positive attitude to his learning. He is now a lot more meticulous with his presentation and will take time to think about what he is doing.
He has had a brilliant last year and made outstanding progress.
